Prescription Analyzer ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data with transparency and security at the core, including the third-party services we rely on to provide the app.
Prescription Data: When you scan a prescription, we process the image (or, in Text Scan mode, text extracted from it) to produce an analysis. Depending on the mode, either the image or the extracted text is sent to Google's Gemini AI for analysis (see Section 3, "Third-Party Services"). We do not retain your prescription images or analysis results on our own servers.
Anti-Abuse Data: We collect a device identifier (on Android, the Android ID / SSAID; on other platforms, a randomly generated app identifier) to manage your free scan limit and to prevent misuse such as repeatedly reinstalling the app to reset free scans. This identifier is stored against a usage counter in our database and is not linked to your advertising ID.
Advertising & Device Data: We use Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob and its partners may collect device and advertising identifiers and technical data (such as device model and OS version) to deliver and measure ads, as described in Section 4.
Your data is used strictly to provide the core services of the app:
We rely on the following Google services to operate the app. Your use of the app is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
We use Google AdMob to display ads (including banner, rewarded, and app-open ads). AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and use device identifiers and advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads, including personalized advertising.
Consent (EEA, UK & Switzerland): If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we show a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads. You may grant, refuse, or change your consent at any time. If you refuse, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.
For details on how Google uses your data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Local-Only History: Your medical scans and analysis results stay 100% on your device. We cannot see or access your medical history.
Cloud Usage Metrics: Only your device identifier and a scan-count are synced to Firebase to manage your scan budget. No prescription content, images, or analysis results are ever uploaded to our database. Data is encrypted in transit.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, and (in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland) to withdraw your advertising consent at any time via the in-app consent options.
Deleting your local data: Clearing your scan history in the app, or uninstalling the app, removes all locally stored scans and analysis results from your device.
Deleting your cloud data: To delete the device identifier and scan-count we store in Firebase, email us at ranc.mobileappdev@gmail.com with your request. We will remove the associated record promptly.
